  • Menmutty Waterfalls: The gorgeous waterfall is around 29 kilometers away from Kalpetta. Menmutty waterfalls are the second-largest waterfall in Kerala and is the largest in Wayanad. The treasure can only be discovered after an easy trek of 2 kilometers through the surrounding forest. But once reached, the waterfall mesmerizes the visitors with its extraordinary beauty.

    The crystal clear water drops from 300 meters and submerges the surrounding in its melody. It’s not only the fall that attracts the visitors. Many rock climbers and adventurers love the place for rock climbing. The waterfall is located near the Neyyar Reservoir area, and the surrounding is as breathtaking as the fall itself. It’s a three-tiered waterfall, and visitors are advised to be cautious around the waterfall.

  • Soochipara Waterfalls: Surrounded by evergreen deciduous and montane forest, Soochipara is also a three-tiered waterfall located in the Wayanad district. The streams cascade from a height of 200 meters and later join the Chulika river. The fall is situated in Vellarimala and is also known as Sentinel Rock Waterfall. Sochipara combines the words ‘soochi,’ meaning rock, and ‘para’ meaning needle.

    The name has been given because of the needle-shaped rock present around. The fall creates a pool beneath where the visitors can enjoy swimming. The fall is easily accessible from its parking lot and is 20 minutes drive from Meppadi.

  • Chethalayam Waterfalls: Chethalayam waterfalls is a seasonal waterfall and is a popular spot for birdwatching. The waterfall and the surroundings are mesmerizingly beautiful and close to the Wayanad wildlife sanctuary. The cascade is located in Sulthan Bathery and is frequently visited by trekkers and adventurers.

    It is 37 km away from Kalpetta and involves a 4 kilometers trek, and the pathway includes scenic landscape and beautiful forest.

  • Kadachikunnu Waterfalls: The majestic foamy waterfall lies on the Meppadi-Vaduvanchal road. It takes 2 km of a trek through the forest to reach that cascading fall. Visitors can relish a nice picnic on their way towards and back from the falls.

  • Kanthanpara Waterfalls Kanthanpara waterfalls lie twenty-two kilometers away from Kalpetta. The road to the fall is full of spectacular views and falls from a height of only 30 meters. It’s an easily accessible waterfall, and people come here to enjoy the beautiful and calm surroundings.

  • Palchuram Waterfalls Located on the border of Kannur and Wayanad, Palchuram waterfalls are four tiers. This is one of the largest waterfalls in the region and is located in the heart of the evergreen forest. The cascade is 5 km from Kottiyoor and is located on Mananthavady road.
