    • Edakkal Caves: 25 km away from Kalpetta, Edakkal caves are two natural caves of Wayanad. The caves are adorned with drawings. Some are from the Neolithic Age, as early as 6000 BC to 1000 BC. These carvings are rare and, along with Shenthurini caves’ paintings, are the only known examples from South India. To reach these historical caves, one needs to trek through the picturesque Ambukutty Mala.
    • Chembra Peak in Kerala

    • Chembra Peak: 8 km south of Kalpetta, Chembra peak is the highest in Wayanad. There are a heart-shaped lake and waterfalls along the route. After a trek of around 9 km, you will be treated to the mesmerising views of the entire Kozhikode district.
    • Banasura Sagar Dam: The place will leave you in awe. It is the largest earth dam in India, and the view is breathtaking. Surrounded by Banasura hills, the site is ideal for picnics, boating, camel rides, etc. You might suffer from the long-lasting effects.
    • Neelima Viewpoint: The view is one from paradise, but it comes at a price. Trekkers can reach the viewpoint only after walking a long way up. Once you reach the top, enjoy a gorgeous view of Meenmutti Waterfalls, lush green Western Ghat cuddled in fog and a stunning valley.
    • Tholpetty Wildlife Sanctuary in Kerala

    • Tholpetty Wildlife Sanctuary: Wild and Wayanad go together, and no visit is complete without a safari across the Wayanad Wildlife Sanctuaries.
